Ate here about 18 months ago in the bar, food was fine and am completely down with the ethos, service however was bad. Slow and uninterested. Have heard that the restaurant up stairs is better but haven't bothered going back.
The Thali is great for what it is, set menu of good food at a really good price and always dependable quality. Not on my list of regular places to eat but nothing wrong with it either.
Bell's is a treat because once you've added Wine, coffee etc to the bill it's not cheep, but it is Fantastic. Well worth it for a special meal. The quality of the ingredients combined with the innovative menu makes Bell'e amongst the top restaurants in Bristol.
