Butcher specialising in selling traditionally reared livestock from local farms. Honeywell are suppliers of locally sourced produce and stock a wide range of meats from farms within 10 miles of the shop. The meats are properly reared, locally slaughtered and traditionally prepared. A variety of game is available in season, including venison, rabbit and pheasant. They also sell a wide range of deli goods to compliment their meats - local cheeses, locally baked breads, olives, wines, beers...
Their produce is very reasonably priced and help is always available should you want some advice on anything!
They supply many local pubs and restaurants in the area as well as to the public. Once you've tried the meat from Honeywell, you won't want to go anywhere else!!

Unicorn is amazing. The first time I went in I was wowed by the range of produce. Local, organic, fresh, unusual, eco-friendly.... I could have stayed in there for hours!
It is vegan, so you'll need to get your meat/cheese/milk etc elsewhere (try Wild at Heart in Chorlton!) but you'll pick up such nice things at Unicorn you might forget the meat!
They have a fantastic ethical trading policy and their prices are very, very competitive. Oh, and their little reuseable bags are brill and you see them in lots of places, prompting knowing nods and smiles from fellow Unicorn shoppers.

Wild at Heart is a lovely, lovely little cafe and deli. They have a great range of produce available. We quite often go for coffee and cake (and even sit outside when the weather in Manchester permits!) or lunch. It's slightly out of the centre of Chorlton, but I think this is fab - makes it feel like you're happening upon a little gem that few other people know about! The staff are friendly and helpful and I'd recommend a visit to anyone.
