Clavelshay Barn restaurant is on a family run dairy farm and serves local produce in a beautiful setting. Perfect for special occasions or a treat for yourself, arrive early and enjoy the view with a drink out on the terrace before dinner as the farm is on the edge of the Blackdown hills.

Blackmore Farm has some pretty willow baskets, local produce, cider (ooo the cider!) and afternoon tea in the cafe area with homemade cakes is a must, the ice cream is beautiful too! Plus if you can't get enough you could always stay in one of their holiday apartments and sample the bed and breakfast!

We have been customers of Abel & Cole for many years and love their boxes. The deliveries are free, the produce fresh and delicious and now they are stocking tins, relishes, range of cheeses, wines, cider and so many other products there is hardly any need to visit a supermarket again (if only they also stocked cat food!).

Their customer service team are extremely helpful, I once had a problem with a delivery and after a quick call with follow up email everything was sorted out. I would recommend giving them a try as they offer value for money, avoid air freighting their produce, everything is organic and they use bio diesel vans.

For people who want a night off from cooking but don't want to go out or order pizza Scoff is a lifesaver! My husband and I have tried their beef in ale pie, lamb and rosemary dumpling casserole, mashed potatoes - all gorgeous. Good sized portions, delivered promptly and so hot you could even get away with quickly dishing up onto plates and pretending you cooked it yourself (not that I have ever done this of course). If you have any room for dessert try the steamed treacle sponge, heavenly.

Cocoa Loco - sheer heavenly indulgence…since discovering their homemade cookies with chocolate hearts I cannot look at another biscuit! Great for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, pick me ups and treats. My current favourite is the milk chocolate Indian summer bar, the combination of mellow spices with milk chocolate is gorgeous. I think I have sampled practically every part of their range now and have become addicted! If you haven't ordered anything before, treat yourself!
