A wonderful place to kick back! They brew their own beer on the premises and sell 10 real ales in addition to the usual pub drink selection. There's also a lovely restaurant upstairs serving stunning food at very reasonable prices and the menu changes frequently. Situated at the head of the River Colne, cyclists and walkers are welcomed with or without their dog. Very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere; attentive and helpful staff; Oh yes, and there is even somewhere to feed the ducks!
A great selection of local produce. Fabulous meats and meat products, wines, beers, groceries, bakery, seafood and cheeses. You can also sample it all in their small cafe. Plus fabulous views across Crook Gate Resevoir.
A great butcher! Has a great selection of free range pork and chicken. All his meat is local including venison. He makes his own sausages from the finest stuff, and caters for all tastes and budgets. It's a pretty good sign when the queue is out of the door!
