This farm on the outskirts of Northallerton has everything!! Buffalo, highland cattle, wapiti, longhorn, pere david, emu, boer goat, yak, white park, bison, red deer, soay sheep, dexter and ironage pigs!! The meat is prepared just as you require it and very fresh. Their Buffalo Burgers are renowned in the area, especially when they cook them for you at the farmers markets. They even make their own buffalo cheeses, the blue is especially good. To top it all off, you can even have a tractor tour of the farm to see all the animals.
This is a place that Hugh would love!
This is a wonderful place to visit. Ulnaby Hall has its own farm shop with locally produced goodies, fruit, veg, meat, etc, together with a delicious tearoom with fresh food made there and then for you. If you want there's home made icecream too.
Ulnaby Hall Farm is part of a buried medieval village, which you can explore after with the children (Time Team did it on the telly too) or you can have a tractor ride around the farm. There's a playground for the kids to enjoy whilst the grownups have another cup of tea and a homemade scone.
