I've personally not been to the shop, but I have had food from here at various dinners given at a friends house. The range seem to be amazing and is always totally delicious. Worth a look if you're up that way.

Welcome to the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse
Established over thirty years ago, the company has retained and maintained the traditional methods of preparing and curing fish and meats of all kinds. It is our commitment to quality, the ingredients we use and the service we provide, that has won such overall acclaim for our smoked products. See our smoking process for more information on some of the items that we smoke.
We have always believed that our vital ingredient is Time. The shorter the time from catch to Smokehouse, the better the quality, and the more sumptuous the flavour. For this reason we source many of our products locally and you can watch the fishermen land their daily catch if you visit our factory shop at Glasson Dock. However, if this is too far for you to come you can always visit our stall at one of the many farmer's markets we attend throughout the year.
I haven't been for a while, however on all occasions I have been it has been great. Lots of local suppliers, from ordinary meat and veg (The chickens are fantastic if the same guy is still there!) to Ostrich and Cheese as well as Med food. Definitely worth a drive, and it isn't too sparse if you can't be one of the first there - something that always seems to be the case at a lot of farmers markets.
This is the one restaurant that I know I can visit and always have a fantastic meal. The food is always excellent and the waitresses are lovely. The set menu is great value for money and never feels any less 'special' than the a la carte. I can't recommend enough.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff combine with a modern and spacious shop interior to help give customers a unique shopping experience. A large meat counter provides a huge range of freshly made sausages, bacon and pork, chicken, lamb, and beef. The shop also has a delicatessen which offers a wide range of local cheeses, salads, pies, breads, and cakes. You can even have a delicious sandwich made - on freshly baked bread - while you wait. Or, you can order a piping hot soup-of-the-day to take away.
On the same site you will find 1817 - a fully licensed cafe bar and restaurant which serves fine quality foods together with a selection of beers, ciders, and award-winning English and Scottish wines
All our beef and lamb is slaughtered in our own EC approved, on-site abattoir. Also, we run - on a voluntary basis - the Small Abattoir Federation (SAFe) which provides support and guidance for other businesses that operate their own low-throughput abattoirs.
