We'd heard alot from from friends about this place before we visited, so naturally our expectations were very high - and I'm pleased o say we weren't dissapointed.

From a very efficient booking service, to plenty of parking, unusual features (fish in the toilet cistern?!?) the place is a treat. Then there's the food, which is a whole different ball-game.

I'm a real seafood lover, but living in Nottingham we're not exactly near the caost - this could be my answer!!

As it was a special meal (my birthday) I had scallops for starter and my husband had mussels. Both dishes were bursting with flavour - my only negative comment was that I thought they were a little light on the scallop.

For mains it was Lobster thermadore for me. Creamy sauce, succulent. Devine. And sirloin steak for my husband - locally reared and perfectly cooked - so whilst the fish is the star it's also a great all-rounder.

Can imagine it gets very busy at weekends, so probably always best to call ahead.

Good sized Farm Shop, with ample parking. Free range eggs, fresh vegetables, fresh bread, meat & cheese deli (with tasters!), olive bar. Large selection of locally sourced preserves. Great fishmonger (Wednesday-Sunday I think). Very large fresh butchery counter, with lamb and pork sourced locally, award winning sausages and their own beef. Incredibly knowledgeable butchery staff. Very friendly. PLUS loyalty scheme for frequent shoppers AND their own reusable bag system (think it's 1p off everytime you reuse any bag). Relaxed shopping atmosphere with great staff.
