Good news for all the residents of Hackney as they don't have to brave the organic swarms at Borough Market of a weekend to get the fine produce of those men and women of the Ginger Pig. And indeed get more than at Borough with the addition of their fine deli. Impossible to make one top recommendation amongst such an array of goodies, you'll have to see for yourself.

Wonderful fishmongers on Essex Rd, Islington. Just follow the queue on Saturday mornings. Sells a great range of top quality, super-fresh fish and seafood. As with all quality produce it isn't the cheapest, but the product is so good and the staff so friendly and helpful that it's a price worth paying.
