This is a gem of a farm shop selling the farms own potatoes and other seasonal veg. A really impressive range of different varieties - their salads in particular always look so tempting. Also on sale is meat fron their on-site butchers, Lubcloud Millk, Sparkenhoe Red Leicester, Quenby Stilton and locally baked bread. Their fresh flowers and Christmas trees are also excellent. To top it all and to make this a place to visit from some distance (we are an hour away!!) is the top class cafe selling yummy cakes and really decent coffee. Can't imagine why no-one has listed this before me!!
What a find. This is no ordinary fruit farm, it's a haven for kids with a fantastic childrens play area, an amazing maize maze and cafe selling the most lovely cakes. In strawberry picking season, the cakes are particularly fine. If you're feeling really energetic, you could pick fruit but if not, just sit on a seat watching the kids play (and taking in the views). They'll be happy for the best part of a day!!!
A great little deli selling locally grown and manufactured produce. Also has a fantastic cafe, selling good coffee. This is prime holiday cottage territory and they have tapped into this well, offering 'holiday let starter packs' full of everything you need to get your holiday off to a good start. Read to go picnics also available. Good little find.
A wonderful farm shop/PYO farm with a wide range of fruit, veg, salad and plants available. We've had such fun over the years picking strawberries, rasperries, currants, sweetcorn, rhubarb, fresh flowers, herbs, 3 types of beans, courgettes, the list goes on. Kids absolutely love it here and in the Summer, you can sit out and enjoy a locally made ice cream after all the picking. The staff are great and very child friendly. We call it 'our farm'. I don't have the space to grow vegetables so havingly this facility is like having an allotment but without all the hard work!
Beautifully presented organic produce - veg, salads & fruit, a tempting butchery, cheese counter and deli. Home made pies, puddings and bread. Truly, a one stop shop. And the little wooden shopping trollies provided are gorgeous! Next door is an atmospheric cafe selling home made cakes and good coffee. Coupled with a trip to foodie Ludlow town, this is a worthwhile and fun date out!
