I have recently moved to Chorlton from the city centre. I used to travel to chorlton just to visit unicorn as it really is the best place to get the best organic herbs, spices, dried fruit, pulses, seeds and grains etc in the area. I try to buy all my fruit and vegetables local and organic as much as possible without having to venture to Morrisons. As much as I love unicorn they do and more often than I would like, disappoint me. I recently visited them with a simple list of 5 vegetables, only one of which they had, and that was a carrot. No green pepper, no mushrooms, no large potatoes big enough for baking and no onions!! Maybe they were waiting on a delivery? I do however love the fact that they sell products you can get nowhere else such as cavalo nero, Kale, sorrel and many different squashes. There is nowhere else like unicorn in Manchester, until that is whole foods finally find a site and venture up north. I can't help but wonder if Unicorn in the future would decide to extend their range of products to include dairy and sugar to supply the demand?
