This butcher is exemplary. I'm a stickler for a good butcher and I have to say that this is the best in Cardiff, and I've been to all of them (trying to find pheasant!)
Excellent range of game, warm and friendly service and knowledgeable, helpful staff.
Good premises, open, bright and airy with prints & paintings for sale on the walls, great meals and coffee. There's a farm shop there selling preserves, cheeses veg and meat. Although no information as to the source of the meat, local I guess. No website that I can find. The setting is fantastic with great views.
Lowfields is located in Willington, just outside Crook.
The premises are excellent, selling their own beef, pork & lamb along with venison and game birds from local estates - and all with an in house butcher more than happy to help you. Veg, preserves, dairy, biscuits, cheese as well, Really good place, well worth a visit even if you just have a coffee and enjoy the views.
