There are lots of things to like about this place - if you haven't tried John Bjornson's excellent beers Victoria (bitter), Albert (best) and Gannet (mild) they are a treat, brewed nearby at a microbrewery in Earl Soham. The food is great - very tasty dishes such as grilled sardines, belly pork with chorizo and chick peas devilled kidneys. The atmosphere is shabby chic but completely unpretentious. You can use it either as a drinking pub or as a place to eat. If you know the Eagle in Farringdon Road - London's ur-gastropub this has a similar vibe - just a rural version.
