Heeley city farm is amazing, right in the midddle of a local community in sheffield it provides a focal point for events throughout the year and brings like-minded people together. It is free to visit and you can see lot of animals, buy plants and bags of compost and manure. There is a cafe which is very nice, though I have never eaten a full meal there yet, they do good coffee and cake. The energy centre is also very informative, though often closed when I have tried to visit.
