Visited a lovely little deli and cafe last weekend with my children, Anneries in the Enterprise Centre which is just behind Eastbourne Railway station. They offer locally sourced meats, cheeses etc and have a lovely cafe where we had a small lunch. It was excellent vakue and the food was very tasty. We could even see the rocket growing in the window. What made the experience somewhat magical was the most beautiful and enormous dragonfly which flew past our table. We thought it was a clever toy but proved to be the real thing passing through. It just added some magic to a truly lovely lucnh with two young children, this is a lovely and hard working deli and cafe and well worth a visit.

Wow, lot's of glowing reviews for this exciting looking local chocolatier. I guess my username gives my secret (or not so secret) passion away so I am very much looking forward to making a trip with my kids to the Hove farmers market to see the choccies in person and take some home I hope.

I stumbled on this gem whilst driving back from Eastbourne and spotting a pick your own sign. We drove up the long lane to the farm and were surprised to see a barn with a farm shop too. After a warm welcome from a friendly farm dog, I was amazed at the variety of fruit and veg in the shop, it all looked so fresh and good. I bought some pots, carrots and summer fruits and all were delicious. A punet of fresh strawberries was £1, £2 cheaper than the supermarket and picked literally metres away. they also had loads of free range eggs and the chickens were in a very large coup also just metres away. The lady was also very friendly and passionate about the shop and its produce. What a gem, i'll be back every week.

This really is a very good health food store, almost doubling up as a foodie shop too. It stocks excellent produce from natural medicines to fresh food, veg, fine foodie treats and organic milk, eggs and bread. It smells like a health food shop should smell, very fresh and enticing. The staff are excellent, friendly and very knowledgable. The make you feel welcome and they don't seem to chnage so are obviously happy about their working environment. This is a great place and well worth a visit, even if you don't live nearby.

Seasonal favourites with a modern British influence, very relaxed atmosphere and excellent eggs benedict, what more can I say - check it out very soon.

Good sushi - fish is very fresh - delicious crab risotto with ginger and excellent kids' size fish tempura for the youngsters dabbling in Japanese food. Grab some soya beans in their pods from the conveyor belt and try the local catch of the day.

Litlington Tea Gardens is set in the Cuckmere Valley near Alfriston. Litlington is not really a Tea Room but a garden and only open in the Summer.

Food is cooked in a kitchen at the top end of the garden. Tea room food is then prepared and served by waitresses from another building in the gardens.

All cakes and scones are home made and there are other light meals on offer. The food is good quality home made and the scones are very good. Its a beautiful setting and garden which takes you back to days gone and is really worth a visit, if you can find it that is!

Super tasty sausages made in-house and delicious smoked bacon, cut to order. Huge chicken breasts and really friendly and clean.
