My Father, Renato, started his small holding with a tent and 20 acres on the family farm some 30 years ago (1979), growing all manner of fruit and vegetables from, the then unusual, mangetout to purple raspberries and everything in between. Supported by loyal locals many of whom are still with us now we have have been able to grow and move to our present site where we now retail all manner of fine food and drink.
We source seasonally and locally from green gorcery products to dry products such as Kentish Extra virgin Rapeseed Oil, jams and honeys. Our delicateseen counter includes cheese and meats from across Kent which are complimented beautifuly by the wines, ciders beers and juices that we source from artisans throughout our county.
I love food and its culture and as fine food retailers I think it is essential that our shop acts as a link for our customers straight back to the producer. We know our products and our prodcuers and so take pride in everything on our shelves this is mirrored by the sentiment of our customers in knowing that Macknade Fine Foods is their shop and a place that they can come to enjoy all that food and drink encompasses.
