Abel & Cole deliver ethically-sourced organic food to your door. Our range includes fresh fruit and veg from small independent growers, British organic meat, dairy, bread, wine, sustainably-sourced fish and much more! Delivery is free of charge.

We work with over 60 British farms, including many who would be too small to have their own box schemes, buying as much British fruit and veg as the season provides. At the peak of the British harvest, that means almost everything is British. When UK farms aren’t harvesting, and for things we can’t get here (like olive oil and bananas), we go abroad. Our principles remain the same: we work directly and fairly with producers, stay as close to the UK as possible and never air freight. Produce is then packed centrally in Hampshire and distributed from our regional depots in our biodiesel vans.

Abel & Cole deliver a box of fresh, organic fruit and veg to my door most months. They put the boxes together with only local farmers and growers and I often receive a number of "bonus" items to promote new products as the seasons change. I have been introudced to many "new" tastes this way"

I have had a regular order since January, and deliveries have never been late. By having a regular order with them means that they are able to make regular orders with their growers, giving them the information they need to plan and harvest the right amounts to avoid waste.

The produce is always delicious too!

With Abel & Cole, there is always a cheery hello - and even more good "buys" !

I have been a customer for a few years and the produce has always been of a high quality and the customer services excellent. You get the impression the staff really do listen, and they answer any questions promptly and clearly. This is a flexible company who seems to be genuinely concerned with serving the requesrs and needs of it's customers, rather than just serving itself and profits.
They are extending their range all the time and it seems there will be the chance to do a full weekly shop with them, rather than just Fruit and Vegetables, this would be a great convenience for me [and other vegans I imagine] who have a mainly plant-based diet supplemented by other goods they sell, eg. rice, herbs and spices, olives, etc.

I can't recommend this company highly enough.

I plan never to set foot in a supermarket again!

Getting the Fruit and Vege box and I find the quality excellent. Each week I am getting organic seasonal produce that you can tell has been lovingly grow as the flavours, and aromas are wonderful. And if you have the same product 2 weeks in a row e.g. Tomatoes, they try to make them different varieties. So one week we have large ripe juicy vine tomatoes, the next we had lush cherry ones.

Abel and Cole also have a great recipe suggestion page enabling you to experiment and expand your menu selections.

Website great..very well laid out and easy to use. Quick and pain-free delivery. Produce good. My only complaints would be that any items come in plastic rays as opposed to compostable or recyclable containers, there is slightly less in the box than I have been used to with an equivalent box with a differen't scheme. I also would prefer to use a more locally based scheme as opposed to a national one..however all in all they ae very good.

First exposure to a box scheme, and couldn't be more pleased. Website makes ordering a breeze, including favourites, dislikes and substitutions. Slowly working through additional items available, over and above the box scheme, to see what they are like. Have recommended already.

The meat and fish is absolutely fantastic! They have a large selection and the service is second to none. Sometimes the quality of the fruit and veg is not premium but on the whole it is very good.

Abel&Cole is great. We have been getting a veg and fruit box for over a year and never had any problems. The website is easy to use and they have a good wide selection of products to add on and get delivered with the box.

I've been buying from Abel&Cole for quite some time now and am very happy with the service and the quality of the produce. On top of the boxes they also have a good selection of other foods and products (and I am hoping they will extend it even more). Would recommend to everyone!

We got the mixed veg box, and while we were very pleased with the quality and variety to begin with, towards the end of the summer, the quality and quantity both seemed to drop off and we felt we couldn't justify the cost. However, we are now considering giving it another go.

Customer service was always excellent and friendly, even when we stopped using them (no hard sell at all), and the website was very easy to use, particularly adding your likes and dislikes!

It might not have been for us at the time but would thoroughly recommend giving it a go, even just for a short time...

About a year ago we started ordering organic boxes from Abel&Cole.
The best of all is their user-friendly website! The feature that allows you to select food likes/dislikes is just clever! Delivery's been always punctual and although the freshness of the box's contents is not always the best, it is still a good selection of fruit &vegetables. Oh! and the meat and the bread are also good.

I just started with them and I have to say that it seems a bit pricey(£15)...
In particular all those roots...
I could buy in the local market the same for under £5

We got a veg box from Abel & Cole about a year ago and it was fantastic. Prompt delivery, lovely fresh veg and even the box was nice to look at : )

We moved soon after and now its on the fridge notes to place another order. Just had a flyer through the door so that's on there too. Great service.

I used to get their organic mixed fruit and veg box every week - it's excellent and always very well presented, comes with inspiration and ideas for its contents! Was the highlight of our culinary week. Now in Brighton, am looking to get one going again....

I think this is an excellent organic delivery company. I get their mixed fruit & veg box every week and could not fault it. I reguarly buy chicken, meat, cheese and bread from them. All our family love the food and there is genuine enthusiasm when the delivery comes and at meal times. Im suprised that anyone has had a bad experience with them (I live in London-maybe different suppliers) as i would highly recommend them to anyone.

Perhaps Able & Cole source through different suppliers where gingercake lives. But here in Bristol it's a different story. Several times I have had rotten food sent to me, unripe tomatoes, bruised fruit... and before anyone says, I know organic food has blemishes etc but this was something else! I complained to them several times and they offered me a £5 refund of something equally pathetic when I had spend at least £30 a week with them. I was so dissapointed with the quality of the food that I no longer use the service. I think Able & Cole are a business first rather that a co-operative. I woud much rather cut out the middleman and go direct to the farm shop myself. Sorry - Not for me.
