Abel & Cole deliver ethically-sourced organic food to your door. Our range includes fresh fruit and veg from small independent growers, British organic meat, dairy, bread, wine, sustainably-sourced fish and much more! Delivery is free of charge.
We work with over 60 British farms, including many who would be too small to have their own box schemes, buying as much British fruit and veg as the season provides. At the peak of the British harvest, that means almost everything is British. When UK farms aren’t harvesting, and for things we can’t get here (like olive oil and bananas), we go abroad. Our principles remain the same: we work directly and fairly with producers, stay as close to the UK as possible and never air freight. Produce is then packed centrally in Hampshire and distributed from our regional depots in our biodiesel vans.
We have been customers of Abel & Cole for many years and love their boxes. The deliveries are free, the produce fresh and delicious and now they are stocking tins, relishes, range of cheeses, wines, cider and so many other products there is hardly any need to visit a supermarket again (if only they also stocked cat food!).
Their customer service team are extremely helpful, I once had a problem with a delivery and after a quick call with follow up email everything was sorted out. I would recommend giving them a try as they offer value for money, avoid air freighting their produce, everything is organic and they use bio diesel vans.
I was a customer of Abel and Cole for a number of years. Their produce was good, but their delivery drivers' ability to follow instructions left a lot to be desired! How hard is it to ring a doorbell..?
Consequently we had a few orders stolen from where they were left (on the doorstep outside the flat in full view from the road) while our upstairs neighbours were inside, completely unaware that the box had been delivered. We complained each time, but we eventually realised that the message was not going to get through and decided to go elsewhere.
