We offer a delicious range of home grown and locally sourced products. Our butchery stocks our own beef, lamb and game from our farm. The meat is hung and butchered on the premises in the traditional way to ensure you get that 'old fashion' flavour. We stock local fresh pork and poultry and make all the sausages, burgers, faggots, pies and pasties on site.
All of our products are sourced from within 25 miles (where possible), local dairy products, jams, preserves, ciders and wines, fruit & veg. We bake bread daily and stock cakes just like your Granny used to make! You can see the free range chicken beside the shop that provide our eggs.

For Barleymow farm shop to be advertising on a free range website is a little ironic seeing that their cattle are kept in barns for most of their life in somewhat questionable conditions lying on top of sometimes three feet depth of dung and very poor drainage. I will not eat their beef under any circumstances.
Barleymow's has expanded greatly since it was opened six years ago. It stocks a good range of everyday meat, veg etc. as well as more special things for gifts or special ocassions. It has become something of a tourist and local attraction with its activity area for children and seasonal 'maize maze'. Definitely worth a visit.
I've been to this place a few times, they have a good meat counter but far too many freezers for my liking. Shame, as their in the prime fresh food country!
This is a great shop, expanding all the time and offering really good local produce. Started by a highly entrepeneurial local farmer who is doing a great job in the area. Chard needs more places like this!
