Broom Mill Farm is an excellent example of how a farm shop should be. From the minute you walk through the door, after walking past the mill pond with resident ducks, you feel welcome. The staff are always pleasant and polite with enough time to enquire how your day is going. A fine array of meat is presented before you with every possible cut of pork and beef available. There are also home made sausages and home cured bacon. Also on offer are freshly baked pies ( my favourite being the pork and onion marmalade!) and fresh bread. A fine assortment of local mustards, chutneys, sauces and jams take up one side of the store whilst fresh fruit and vegetables occupy the other. Our regular favourite are the free range eggs. Last year every extra large egg we bought was a double yolker!! we had the most wonderful yorkshire puddings from them and one poached egg was enough to see us til lunch.
As you can tell I cannot rate this farm shop highly enough. My only negative is that if I only go in for eggs I always end up with bagfuls of extra goodies. But with the quality on offer you can not refuse!!

A very friendly, family run, well stocked farm shop selling homebred pork, bacon, gammon alongside other local meat, dairy produce and vegetables. They also have a selection of store cuboard ingredients like pasta and pulses and locally made cakes and bread. Their homemade pork pies are delicious but you have to get there early to get them.
The bacon is smoked or dry cured and they have a great selection of 'gourmet' sausages. They also supply Rick Stein Recommended whole chickens which are full of flavour.
The tearoom serves homemade sweet and savoury dishes.
