Bryn Derw Farm is a small family run business, producing free range chicken and chicken portions. We sell to local farm shops, restaurants, butchers, deli's, school markets, and at food festivals. We started trading in August 2007 and the interest in local free range has increased month by month. We have just won a gold award in the Great Taste Awards 2008 for our free range whole chickens and free range chicken breasts.
This Christmas we are rearing free range bronze turkeys - limited stock - please order early to avoid disappointment.
I cannot recommend these chickens highly enough, we are fortunate enough to live nearby and no longer buy chicken from supermarkets. Treat yourself to one of these and you wont regret it.
The chickens have with good, solid flesh and taste fantastic. A pleasure to cook and eat. I don't get chickens from anyone else. They even impressed my formerly vegetarian mother and that takes some doing!
Bryn Derw chickens are delicious! Whenever I travel up to mid-Wales I always ask my sister to order a couple of chickens for me. I recently cooked a meal for my son and daugher-in-law (roast chicken!) and my son asked where I got the chicken as he said the taste was very 'flavoursome' and very different to the normal run of the mill chickens he had eaten before (Tesco !!) I shall certainly be buying the chickens from Bryn Derw Farm whenever possible as they are far superior to any I can purchasase down in the 'south'.

An excellent and ethical small family business, just the sort that needs our support and custom. The chicken is delicious and far superior to supermarket birds. I would highly recommend Bryn Derw and will personally be buying from them for a long time to come!
