Called in at the farm shop and got some lovely blue cheese last summer on my way home. I agree with Tom the Perl Las blue is so creamy it well out does stilton and much better that Dolchellata. Fantastic if you put it in a sauce and pour over cauliflower as a change for cauliflower cheese. Makes a great welsh rarebit as well.
I've purchased several varieties of cheese produced by Caws Cenarth, and all have been excellent! The Leek and White Wine mature cheese is to die for!!!
This place makes the finest, creamiest cheese I have ever tasted, and brightened up a rainy holiday in Wales. The Caerffili manages that rare feat of the creaminess of a mild and the strong rich flavour of a mature. The Perl Las blue cheese has a distinct flavour more reminiscent of rocquefort than stilton.
If you are on holiday in the area, visit the place and try the cheeses (and see them being made if you are there early enough). Also, their grandfather supplied the queen with her first corgi apparently.
