For over 140 years the farm was a traditional hill dairy farm with cows grazing the slopes. In 2001 it became redundant but now is the time to bring it back to life and provide a valued and educational modern farm facility for all to enjoy. More importantly to give people the opportunity to see where their food comes from , we aim to provide a true field to plate experience. Our deer herd is now settled and pigs and the more usual farm animals have been introduced. From this our plan is to provide as many free range products as possible and build a new Eco friendly site for both people and animals.
Great place - with a tea room and farm shop selling free range meats, cheese and vegetables. Also, there's an opportnity to have a look round the farm which includes pigs (lots of), chickens and if you're lucky you may spot some deer.

The cheese selectioin is varied, and staff will let you sample pieces before buying, and are happy to cut as big or as small a piece as you choose.
