Fantastic farm shop! One of the best i have sampled from in the area.
Providing seasonal alteratives from such super weight giants as tesco's whose bland food is a no no!

Despite having sold their home reared beef to the public, via a tiny room next to the farm kitchen, for many years, the addition of a brand new, custom built shop on site has been long awaited and very welcome to the Hertford customers. Now not only selling their own produce, but that from other local farms, raised to a very high standard of animal welfare, this small, family run enterprise has to be congratulated. How fortunate we are to have this on our doorstep and a shorter drive out than Tesco, even better!!! The taste of their own beef as a Sunday roast brings back memories of how beef use to taste as a small child, and what we have had taken from us by the likes of mass marketed Tesco produce (cutting corners and forcing farmers to produce bigger and better at a cost to our taste buds). Also offering local reared free range and / or organic chicken, vegetables and home made bread. Along with handraised pies and pastries form their own deli, what a treat on a Saturday afternoon after doing the shopping to pop a pie in the oven and devour it and all its goodness of flavour 30 minutes later, what better, healthier fast food could there be - and you can forget about the crush through the McDonalds drive-in on the way home as well!
