Celebrating its centenary year, the company was established by Frank Godfrey in 1905.
Frank was the Great Grandfather of the present owners, brothers Chris, Jeremy and Phillip Godfrey, who are continuing the fine tradition of quality and excellence.
All of our meat is sourced directly from carefully selected farms and includes; free range Chickens, Pork and Lamb, Scotch Beef directly from Orkney and our award winning Sausages.
The quality of our meat is the foremost concern for us and our Q Award Status is awarded to meat retailers who operate by the strictest standards, to ensure that you will enjoy the freshest, tastiest meats at great value.
This is my local butcher and it is a real gem. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The produce is amazing and if it is not in the shop then they do the up most to obtain the product for you. They have started a new delivery scheme which is brilliant if you cannot get to the shop. Also to help out during the credit crunch they have come up with a range of cheaper produce but keeping the same excellent quality.
