With idyllic views across the East Devon countryside, a thriving village community and the Grand Western Canal running along its edge, Halberton has many lovely features.
But on the outskirts of the village lies its piece de resistance which draws people from far and wide. It may be small, but Halberton Court Farm Shop has become very popular since it opened seven years ago.
As well as selling an enticing array of high-quality local produce, the shop has become an unofficial gathering point within the local community.
this farm shop is ideally located with easy and plenty of parking but i rode from my home along the grand western canal to reach it ( a very easy journey ), having never been before but it had been recommended i was happy to see all the lovely products it had to offer, the veg looked lovely and so did the meat and cheese counters and they offer lots of other goodies and it all looked too scrummy for words. the shop was well stocked and clean, light and airy and the staff friendly, they accept cards over £5 which is always handy. i think i noticed a PYO and there was also a wood shop but i didnt have a look at those as i had a 7 mile ride home on my bike, but i wil be definately visiting again next week.
