Happy Meats - the real thing! Proper free range, rare breed traditional tasty meat as it used to be where animal welfare comes first. Rare breed pork, lamb and beef reared on our and our next door neighbours small sustainable Teme Valley farms. It's free range, fed on locally produced food with no additives, growth promoters, antibiotics or GM ingredients. Because our animals are old traditional rare breeds, they take longer to mature but the taste is well worth the wait.
Aa a vegetarian I dont buy meat but occassionally I do get some for my partner or when Im cooking for family. A friend recommended Happy meats to me and i cant thank them enough. When I do buy meat I like it to be free range and well looked after which is hard to get from a supermarket but Happy meats can provide all of this.
Mix this with happy, smiley staff and I guarantee you wont go anywhere else again!!
Have been a customer of Happy Meats for some years now.
What can I say, everything you would wish for in free-range, rare breed meat, and not to mention their bacon, burgers and pies.
Soay lamb is a must.
All this together with friendly and helpful service from Iain, Milly and staff.
Well worth a visit - or two.
Happy Meats produce really good, tasty, free range and rare-breed meat. Was first converted by their lamb, then their superb dexter beef. Longer than average hanging times for beef/lamb/pork means very flavoursome meat. Gloucester old spot pork is a must, and great old spot and apple burgers too. Well worth trying.
