Started in 2001 by Rona & Nevil Amiss, Higher Fingle Farm aims to supply the highest quality Organic free-range Ducks, Geese, Chickens and Turkeys to both the wholesale market and the discerning public. We also keep Cattle, Sheep and Pigs.
Our organic poultry are raised to strict soil association standards, grazed in large open paddocks and have free access to water and natural shade. They are allowed to roam freely at all times, as nature intended making the finest tasting free range meat. The poultry is always housed at night to deter foxes; their daily waggle back to the field is a great spectacle. Our poultry is slow grown to award winning methods and, when slaughtered, dry plucked and hung to ensure the best flavour.
We sell from the door, mailorder nationwide and to high quality butchers and companies.
I've stocked my freezer up with chickens from Higherfingle. Only tried the thighs so far but they were amazing, can't wait to get tucked into rest. The delivery service and quality was so good that I'm now awaiting an order of lamb, beef and pork. The prices are fantastic too.
