The meat from Kielder Organics is truly exceptional. Their sausages are probably the best I've ever tasted and the rest of the products are excellent too. I visit their stall at Hexham Farmers market and the people manning the stall are always very friendly and helpful. Have visited the farm too and it's lovely to see animals that are so well cared for. These people are true 'food heroes'!
The Cyder House - Shackleford
The Cyder House is a lovely country village pub that reopened in summer 2008 with a superb menu of local food, organic or free range wherever possible.
