Adjacent to the southern boundary of Birmingham, in the green belt of North Worcestershire, Crabtree Farm has existed on this site since 1642, it has always been a mixed farm and once was a bakery. The change to organic status happened in 1994 when organic growing began on the land, and the entire farm was registered organic with the Soil Association. The farm shop was then opened and Organic Roots was born. The shop is completely dedicated to the supply of organic produce, to the general public,catering and wholesale trades and is the only one of its kind in theWest Midlands.
The shop is mainly supplied by the farm, which grows a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. We also sell produce from other small organic farms to compliment our stock. We are always happy to source dietary and unusual items on your behalf. We also offer a delivery service for your convenience.
The shop is stocked with a wide range of organic produce, which includes in season vegetables, fruits, a complete range of frozen meats, poultry, fish pies, ice cream, frozen vegetables, veggieburgers, fresh and frozen. Breads. Dairy produce (fresh) cheese, cream,milk (various). Also preserves, pasta sauce, convenience foods. i.e.cous cous, polenta, instant mash, rissotto. Tinned foods, beans,tomatoes, soups, pasta, pulses and rices. Stock cubes, stuffings, seasalt, cereals and a good selection of dried herbs and spices and also some fresh herbs. Sauces, vinegars, oils, fruit juices, cordials, teas,coffee, drinking chocolate, and sea vegetables.
