Traditionally Reared Beef and Lamb Delivered Direct from the Peaks to your door.
Peak Choice is an initiative inspired by HRH The Prince of Wales. Our co-operative of 11 farmers are all based locally in the Peak District.
Our Beef and Lamb is born and reared using traditional farming methods in the lush green hills of this beautiful area.
Buying from Peak Choice not only gives you the opportunity to taste some of the regions finest produce, you will also be contributing to preserving the landscape and the livlihood of it's farmers for years to come.
The meat comes frozen, and well insulated (in a box with a fleece at insulation), so even if you are out at work you can have it delivered. Just pop it in the freezer and defrost when needed. The meat is amongst the best I have ever tasted. The lamb chops and rump steak need absolutely no sauce, just a little salt and pepper (and I like a sprinkle of thyme on my lamb chops) and a hot pan. You will not be disappointed.
There is a delivery charge, so it pays to get a box, or a large order of individual cuts (but you can always get yours and a friends orders delivered to one address and split the p&p).
As well as the meat you wil get a little note saying which farm the meat has come from which is nice. Part of the appeal of the box is supporting the farmers who help to keep the Peak District looking the way it does.
Had my first delivery from peak choice and had a nice surprise. A bottle of beer and a idiot proof recipe for steak and ale pie. Followed it to the letter and it was fabulous!!! The kids even liked the info about which farmer produced the meat and brought some interesting disscusions a round the table about where meat comes from! good product!
