Our farm shop in Launceston has been established for over 100 years and we continue the great tradition of being farmer / butchers, enabling you to buy "farm direct meats" from us, a system that has been practiced in Cornwall for generations.
We supply fully traceable true cornish meats. Our beef is raised on the wonderful grasslands that surround Bodmin Moor.
Natural meat, traditionally hung on the bone, and then butchered by three cornish professionals who know the difference between naturally raised beef and modern 'organic' beef that sounds great, but often lacks taste.
There's also a Philip Warren's in Liskeard which is just as good. The staff are great and very knowledgeable, always giving advice on what's best for certain recipes. They are also very funny and we have a laugh every-time we go in there!
It's great that we can find out exactly where the meat comes from and it's often been raised just a mile or two from where I live.
We moved to this side of Devon/Cornwall in October 06. Can vouch 100% for the quality of meat from this butchery - the queue alone (despite the fact there arte normally between 10 and 12 serving staff behind the counter) is testimony to the quality of product. We love the fact that we can trace exactly where our meat has come from and rest assured they are happy animals. Service friendly and excellent.
