We’re passionate about our pies: we use only the finest fresh ingredients; we source locally from farmers in the west country who genuinely care about their produce; all our meat is free-range; we don’t use any additives or preservatives, and we can trace the meat and vegetables we use back to the farm and even the field of origin.
As well as our two fabulous eateries in Bristol (Stokes Croft and St Nicholas Market) our pies are available across the UK. We have stalls at various fine food markets including London's Borough Market and will be serving our yummy hot pies at festivals throughout the summer. To find out more visit www.pieminister.co.uk
I love Pieminister pies! We live in Bath and discovered these little gems at our local deli. My husband is partial to the Matador and my favourite is the Heidi - mmm! They're truly delicious and you know that they're packed full of gorgeous fresh ingredients so we don't feel at all guilty about indulging!
These glowing reviews are making me hungry. Just checked out pieministers website and oh boy do those pies look good. Worthy of a visit next time i'm in the area for sure - has anyone tried the 'Matador'? Would love to know what that beast is like as I can't stop thinking about it since I saw it on the site.
Pieminister pies are fantastic - especially the delicious Heidi pie which has to be the best veggie pie ever! I used to work very near St. Nick's Market and the Pieminister shop was just too tempting at lunchtime - I'm now up in Bishopston which luckily isn't too far from the Stokes Croft shop!
I've been working around the corner from Pie Minister for the last year and a half and as a result have sampled almost all of the Pie Minister range. They are all fantastic. From the Minty lamb to the Thai Chook the pastry and fillings are better than any other pie I have tasted. If you are struggling on a Monday, they'll get you back on track. If you happen to be in Stokes Croft, I recommend you stop in and leave content.
I have been to the Pieminister shop in Stokes croft which is a little uninspiring to say the least. However the pies are okay, not the best I have tried. The Chicken and tarragon pie I last had was very over powering with vermouth (Or some sort of booze). I almost feel that they complicate the pies by putting too many ingredients in them. What’s wrong with a really good bit of free range chicken and a light drizzle of gravy in the pie? Style over substance for me I’m afraid.
On a lighter note - I know people who love their pies so it's really down to personal taste! :) Try them yourself, for £4 it's worth a punt! Perhaps I am a person of simple tastes!
