Regularly recommended as one of the best regional delicatessens around, The Larder is a real find.
Stuffed to the brim with hand picked delicacies, only the very best food and drink makes the shelves as all the food on display here is rigorously tasted and approved before being sold to ensure that it makes the grade.
The Larder is one of the many delightful and unusual shops on Burwash Manor Farm, in Barton near Cambridge. Because it is set on a farm the produce is often harvested straight from field to store - asparagus, and eggs from the hens that wander freely around, are examples. Everything is organic and comes from small suppliers. There is a huge selection of local produce which varies according to supply and season - beers, pies, crusty bread, a mouthwatering array of fabulous cheeses, and shelves and shelves of gourmet sauces, titbits, chocolate, olives, treats.... Everything is labelled with its origin, and the shop is worth going in just for the smell!
