Our lovingly restored C17 inn, is located in Somerset’s most beautiful village Hinton St George, yet only 10mins from Chard.

Our fabulous bedrooms have exposed hamstone walls, antique beds & slipper baths (from £36 pppn).

Enjoy the best food in the area beside one of the many real fires in our antique filled restaurant.

Or relax with a real ale or pimms while playing boule in our walled herb garden & admire the ancient fives wall from the hammock in our wild flower orchard…

One of my favourite pubs, you can come for lunch with the family, dinner with your friends, or simply a drink. Food is brilliant, and although we love to try new places, we usually wish we'd gone to the Lord Poulett Arms.
I'd have to dispute the "most beautiful village in Somerset" though! (Although an oldie in our village recently told me that Chiselborough was the poor man's Hinton!)

this is an amazing pub! really lovely for a beer, but even better for the food! try their steak and twice (or maybe even, thrice) cooked chips.

really worth a visit. they have beautiful rooms there too if you have a few to many.
