Visited this fantastic inn on the outskirts of Barnstaple in a little village called Muddiford. The pub istelf is quaint and everyone is extremely friendly. However, the restaurant is superb - the food is of the highest standard and is all local produce. I would definetely recommend to others visiting North Devon.
Broom House Farm - Durham
I can't recommend Broom House Farm highly enough; their meat is always excellent and properly hung, cut and prepared as you wish by the helpful and knowledgable staff! I always buy "special occasion" cuts from them - they even provided the meat for my wedding - but their cheaper cuts are also excellent (I get through a lot of their minced mutton) and the sausages are so good I have to take them to friends all over the country!
I've just left Durham for Pinner and am going to miss them no end.
