I visit lots of farm shops - and this is one of my favourite!! I always buy far more than I expect to when I walk in as there are always new and exciting products on sale to tempt me.
The meat is exceptional, I particularly like the organic chickens which are grown on the farm, and are really fat and juicy, miles better than the Tesco alternative.

I always stock up on their "ready meals" - pies, lasagnes, etc to fill up my freezer - so I don't feel guilty feeding them to my children when I can't be bothered to cook, as I know they are full of "real" meat.

The cafe is a delight, the staff are wonderful and my children adore the hot chocolates, with delicious toppings.

And when we are shopped out there is a farm trail to take the children on where they can get really close to the animals.

I can't recommend the Pink Pig highly enough.

In fairness, I didn't try the produce in the cafe, and neither was there a menu to be able to judge the range of food on offer or the prices... however, this was mainly because after looking around the farm shop, I was inclined not to bother with the cafe. As it presents itself as an organic farm shop, I expected the prices to be a little higher, but I found the range of produce on offer was almost identical to other farm shops in the area, and even produce purposely marked up as "non-organic" was extortionately priced, meaning that I didn’t purchase anything while I was there. I felt the store was badly laid out - all crushed together, and I felt as though the staff were glaring at me all the way round. I didn’t find any unique selling points of this shop, and would not recommend anyone to visit it. It was not what I expected of a farm shop, having been to several others in the area, and I found the overall experience very disappointing.

I visit the Pink Pig often and find it a true delight.

I have been shopping there for several years now and it has never disappointed me.

The quality of the farm eggs is particularly scrummy.

Often a sample of the menu is in view at the entrance outside with special offers prominently displayed.

I have always found all the staff personable and particularly friendly with help ranging from packing shopping to quickly finding customer requests (i.e. mine).

The butcher has especially always been chatty and helpful with advice on cuts of meat and making up requests that are not in his fridge.

The prices are not cheap but reflect the quality of the produce.

I can thoroughly recommend the Roquefort and English cheeses. I always buy my Muesli here too. My favourite delicacy in the cafe recently has been the Pineapple upside down pudding - slurp.

In the cafe I have always found an interesting and varied range or meals to choose from with a highlight being the home made soups. Having eaten in many establishments in the area the tastiness of the cuisine here is second to none. I have not visited the gift shop often as yet because I am always too busy buying up the food. Oh ... and I won't buy my bacon from anywhere else.

the staff are very friendly and helpful, it also has lots of award winning diplomas on the walls.
you will find the staff in the restaurant very helpful and accomadating to your needs. there is also plenty of acctivities for the children to do, and a brilliant farm trail to go around.
