Restored in 1975 by Ana and Nick Jones, we are Cumbria's only fully operational watermill, committed to the production of high quality flour using British grain. With the help of a small, dedicated team of people, this business and its products are both unique and special. Currently we are producing a wide range of bio-dynamic and organic stoneground flours milled the traditional way using clean, self-renewing waterpower. This website brings you the best of traditional technology from a small Cumbrian village.
Organic, biodynamic flour mill with excellent tearoom - delicious lunches including different types of bread made with their own flour milled next door, all amazingly tasty. We had welsh rarebit and a cheese ploughmans, it was the best food we ate in our week spent in the Lakes, and that's saying something!
The Handy Shop - Crieff
I use this shop regularly and find the service excellent, having it delivered means I can shop locally and still work full time! Also the food is well chosen, fresh and choosing the organic veg box means I get to try things I have not tried before, and even the sprouts tasted good! It certainly costs no more than the big T place, and I would recomemmend it to anyone,
Chrissy.
