Visitors to Mount Pleasant Windmill in Kirton-in-Lindsey (18 miles north of Lincoln on A15) can see a traditional working windmill, have a bite to eat and buy top quality organic bread baked in their special wood-fired oven and/or stoneground organic flour as well as their scrumptious organic Lincolnshire plum bread. If the windmill is too far for you, they sell their organic goods on Farmers'Markets - Sleaford, Grantham, Louth, Brigg and twice a month in Lincoln and Stamford.
The windmill is open everyday for organic flour. The tea-rooms are open 6 days a week - closed on Mondays except Bank Holidays - from Easter. Open Sat + Sun in winter. Please ring 01652 640177 for further details.
A homely little tea room, where you can also buy organic flour and products made with organic flour, certified to the Soil Association standard. The twist... the 10 different types of organic stoneground flour are ground at the onsite windmill. The products are delicious, and if you're not sure what to buy, why not have a little taster at the tearoom. A little gem, well worth a visit.
