Wasdale Head Hall Farm is situated at the foot of Scafell, the tallest mountain in England. We are surrounded by spectacular mountains that make ours one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. Our 880 hectare tenanted farm is owned by the National Trust, as are the other farms situated at the head of our valley.
We have always known that this is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, but now we are delighted that Wastwater has won the public vote in the final of ITV's Britain's Favourite View series hosted by Sir Trevor MacDonald.
We rear a large number of Herdwicks, the local sheep best suited to the harsh conditions on the high fells, as well as a herd of tough, hardy Galloway cattle. The meat from these animals is exquisite and far superior to anything you may purchase in your local supermarket.
We can now offer you a selection of our meats, fresh from the Lake District fells and supplied directly to you in specially insulated boxes.
Knowledge of where your food is coming from is more important than ever these days, so you can rest assured that our meats will go direct from source to you, the consumer.
